Do I need Canva, Word or any design software?
No. Everything happens on this website, in your browser. You type the details, watch the finished program take shape, pay, and download a PDF. There is nothing to install and no account to make.
Is this a physical product?
No. You receive digital files — print-ready PDFs — the moment payment clears. Print at home, at an office supply store, or send the print-shop file to any printer. Nothing is shipped, and that is why sales are final.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You fill in the program, pay, and download. We email the link to you and you can re-send it any time from Find my files. There is no password and nothing to sign in to.
How quickly can I have a program in my hands?
Most families finish a four-page program in ten to fifteen minutes and download it straight away. Printing at home takes minutes; an office supply store or print shop usually prints the same day, but ask them — we cannot promise a printer's turnaround.
What do I actually download?
For the program: a print-shop PDF (bleed and crop marks, pages already imposed), a home-printer PDF (exact size, cut and fold guides), a reading-order PDF for sharing on screen, and an editable Word document. Cards and bookmarks come as print-shop, home and single-piece PDFs.
Can I change the lettering or the shape of the photo?
Yes, on any design and every piece at once. In the editor, Title style sets the memorial line in small capitals, a flowing script or a formal copperplate calligraphy; Lettering switches the whole program to a traditional Baskerville set with the name in italic, the way printed memorial booklets are typeset; and Photo frame makes the portrait oval, square, soft-cornered or an arch. Every design has a designer's default, so you need not touch any of them.
Can I edit it after I have paid?
Yes, free, for 30 days — up to 3 corrections per order. Open the editor again from your download page, change anything, and download fresh files. Corrections are the most common reason people come back and we do not charge for them; the limit only stops the editor being used as a free design tool for other families.
Can I get a refund?
Payments are not refunded — every file is a custom digital product made from your own words and photo and delivered instantly, so it cannot be taken back, and that is the same on every funeral-template site. What we do instead: you see every page before you pay and nothing is charged until you have checked the name and dates; mistakes in the text are fixed by you, free, for 30 days; and a file that is faulty or does not match the preview is repaired by a person, usually the same day. How long do you keep my files?
Your design and photo are kept for 30 days after purchase, then deleted automatically. We keep only the payment record after that. Please download and save your files — we tell you the exact date on your download page.
Why only {{retention_days}} days?
Because it is your relative's photograph and your family's details, and there is no good reason for us to hold them longer than you need us to. If you want the program again for an anniversary, it takes a few minutes to make afresh.
Will it work on my phone?
Yes. The editor is built for a phone first — you can add a photo straight from your camera roll. iPhone HEIC photos are converted automatically.
My photo is old and a bit blurry. Will it print?
We measure the resolution as soon as you upload and tell you plainly whether it will print sharply, acceptably, or softly. If it is going to look poor we say so before you pay, not after.
Can I print at home?
Yes. Use the home-printer file, print at 100% (not 'fit to page'), double-sided, flipping on the short edge for the program. Print one test sheet first. See the printing guide.
What are the short lines at the corners and edges of the PDF?
Crop marks and fold marks — the print-shop file is made for a commercial printer. The page is printed slightly larger than its final size (the extra 3 mm on each edge is the bleed, so colour and borders run right to the edge after trimming), and the marks show the shop exactly where to cut and fold. They sit outside the finished program and disappear with the trim. If you are printing at home, use the home printer file instead: it is at exact size with no marks and light fold guides.
Will a print shop accept the file?
Yes — the print-shop PDF is a standard press-ready file with 3 mm bleed, crop marks and embedded fonts. Any print shop, chain or independent, can print it as-is. You can download a real sample and show them before you buy.
Can I use a different verse, or none at all?
Any field you leave blank simply disappears — no gap, no placeholder. The layout closes up around what you have written.
What if the obituary is too long?
The text shrinks to fit down to a set minimum size. If it still does not fit, the editor tells you which section is over and by roughly how much, before you pay. Nothing is ever silently cut off.
Can I use this for a funeral home or as a business?
The standard purchase is for one service. If you are a funeral home or print shop making programs for families regularly, email us and we will sort out a commercial licence.
What payment methods do you take?
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Link, through Stripe's secure checkout. Your card details never touch our servers. The charge shows on your statement as LINK.COM* Funeral Template — Stripe's Link handles the payment and sends the receipt — and your download link comes from us separately.
Do you ship anything?
No. Everything on this site is digital and downloadable — PDFs, a Word file and share images. You print the pieces yourself or at any print shop. No physical items are shipped.
