Printable funeral program

A printable funeral program, with their details already on it

Printable means the file is finished and the printing is yours to do, wherever suits you — the kitchen printer tonight, or a copy shop in the morning. Type the name, the dates, the order of service and the obituary, watch every page take shape with their photograph on it, and download three print-ready PDFs the minute you pay. Nothing is posted, nothing is waited for, and nothing is charged until you have seen the whole thing.

  • Ready in minutes
  • Instant download after payment
  • From $29 · one-time payment
Classic funeral program, printed and folded
  1. Three files, not one. A home-printer file laid out for ordinary paper with no trimming, a print-shop file with the pages imposed for the fold plus bleed and crop marks, and a reading-order file to email to family who cannot come.
  2. Printed by you, or by anyone. It is your file. Print one copy or two hundred, at home, at a local copy shop, or at a national chain — there is no licence to buy again and no per-copy charge.
  3. An instruction sheet for the counter. Every order comes with a one-page sheet giving the finished size, the sheet to print on, which edge to flip, where to fold and where to trim, so nobody at the shop has to guess.

A finished program, not a blank template

Most "funeral templates" are a layout you still have to design, on a day you have no time for it. This is different: type the details once, and every piece is made for you — matching, print-ready, checked.

A template in a design app · an evening

You do the designing

  • Pick one of hundreds that look alike, then type the same name into six boxes.
  • Resize the photo yourself and hope it prints sharp.
  • Work out which page goes where when the sheet is folded.
  • Export, guess at bleed and margins, print, find the back is upside down.
  • Start again for the prayer card, the bookmark, the sign — none of them match.
  • Nobody to ask when it goes wrong at the copy shop.
Here · about ten minutes

You enter the details; we make every piece

  • Name, dates, order of service, obituary, a photo — once. Every page appears as you type.
  • The photo is placed, framed and checked for print quality; you are told if it is too small.
  • Pages are already in printing order, with bleed and crop marks for the shop and exact size for home.
  • What you see on screen is the PDF, to a third of a millimetre — proven on every build.
  • 61 designs, each making the program, cards, bookmark, sign, guest book and slideshow to match.
  • Free corrections after you pay, and a person who answers when a print goes wrong.

$29 for the program · $89.95 for the complete set — one payment, files in minutes, nothing shipped.

Printable to match, from the same details

Prayer cards, bookmarks and thank-you cards are built from what you have already typed, in the same design, and print the same way.

What "printable" should mean, and usually does not

Most printable funeral programs sold online are a single page in reading order. It looks correct on a screen and prints as four separate sheets that do not fold into a booklet — the pages come out in the wrong order and the fold lands in the wrong place. A four-page program is really one sheet of Letter paper printed on both sides, folded once, and that means pages four and one share the outside of the sheet while pages two and three share the inside.

Every program here is prepared that way before you download it. The home file is imposed for a duplex printer and asks for no trimming at all; the print-shop file carries 3 mm of bleed and crop marks so a commercial printer can trim it cleanly to 5.5 × 8.5 inches. You are not asked to understand any of it — it is simply what comes out.

Printing it at home

Use the home-printer file, choose 100% or Actual Size rather than "fit to page", and print double-sided flipping on the short edge for a folded program. Do one test sheet before the whole run — it costs a page and catches a printer set to the wrong tray or to draft quality. Ordinary 24 lb paper is fine; a heavier text weight feels better in the hand and shows less of what is printed on the other side.

The printing help guide goes through the settings app by app, including the two that cause most of the trouble: scaling and the flip edge.

Taking it to a copy shop

Take the print-shop file and the instruction sheet that comes with your order. A local shop is usually cheapest and fastest, and will fold and trim for you; the national chains will print from an upload and let you collect in store, often the same day. Ask for 100%, not "fit to page", and hand over the sheet — it tells them the finished size, the sheet, the flip edge, the fold and the trim, so there is nothing to interpret.

Order about fifteen per cent more than the number of people you expect. Families keep them, and a second run always costs more than the spare copies would have.

Questions

Is the printable funeral program editable before I print it?
Yes — that is where all the editing happens. You type the name, dates, order of service, obituary, pallbearers and thanks into the page and watch every page redraw as you go. The PDFs are made from what you typed at the moment you download them.
Do I have to print it myself?
You can, but you do not have to. The same files print at any copy shop or office supply store. We sell the files only — nothing is posted to you and there is no printing service here.
How many copies may I print?
As many as you need, for this service. There is no per-copy charge and no second licence to buy.
What if I find a typo after printing?
Reopen the editor from your download page, fix it and download fresh files at no charge. Corrections stay free for 30 days; only the paper costs you anything.
What paper should I use?
For a program, a text weight around 32 lb (120 gsm), matte rather than gloss. For prayer cards and bookmarks, card stock around 100 lb cover. The instruction sheet with your order says this for each piece, and any shop can substitute what it stocks.
Can I see it before paying?
Every page, with your own words and photograph on it. The payment comes after you are satisfied, and there is a free sample to download and print first if you would rather test your printer.
